1. Introduction

Dalim ("we", "our", or "the App") is a mobile running training application for iOS and Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data with transparency. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data we collect

Dalim collects the following categories of data:

• Profile data: Name, birth year, weight, height, resting heart rate, max heart rate — entered by you to personalize calculations.
• Activity data: Running activities synced from wearable devices (via Apple HealthKit, Android Health Connect, or Garmin Health API), including GPS tracks, heart rate, cadence, pace, and lap splits.
• Music library metadata: Song titles, artists, and BPM data from your local music library — used solely for cadence-matched playback.
• AI API keys: If you choose to use the AI training journal feature, your API key is stored locally on your device in encrypted secure storage.

3. How we use your data

• To calculate VDOT, heart rate zones, training paces, and other running metrics.
• To generate AI-powered training journal entries (sent to the AI provider you choose, using your own API key).
• To match music playback speed to your target cadence.
• To analyze running form from video you provide.

4. Data storage and security

• All personal and activity data is stored locally on your device by default.
• If you enable cloud backup, data is encrypted and stored in your personal cloud account (Firebase with end-to-end encryption).
• AI API keys are stored in the device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) and are never transmitted to our servers.
• We do not operate analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

5. Third-party services

Dalim integrates with the following third-party services at your discretion:

• Garmin Health API: To sync activity and wellness data from your Garmin device. Subject to Garmin's Privacy Policy.
• Apple HealthKit / Android Health Connect: To read activity data from your device's health platform.
• Spotify Web API: To create BPM-matched playlists. Subject to Spotify's Privacy Policy.
• AI Providers (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini): Activity data is sent to your chosen AI provider using your own API key for training journal generation.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Data sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

• When you explicitly initiate a sync with a connected service (e.g., Garmin, Spotify).
• When you send activity data to an AI provider for journal generation.
• When required by law.

7. Your rights

• You can view, export, or delete all your data at any time within the App settings.
• You can disconnect any third-party service at any time.
• You can delete your account and all associated data permanently.

8. Children's privacy

Dalim is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
